Ransomware Comes to Android

As BBC Technology reports, Simplelocker is the first confirmed piece of ransomware that encrypts the data held on Android SD cards. Cryptolocker has been wreaking havoc on Windows machines – and making it’s creators/distributers millions of dollars. So it isn’t a surprise that the malware known as ransomware is spreading. Be very careful when installing apps on your Android phone, especially when installing apps from outside the default app store.
