Cell Phone Calling Has Drastically Increased

People are connecting over the phone more than ever, cell phone calling has drastically increased.

With many states on lockdown or practicing social distancing due to COVID-19, cell phone users are turning to phone calls to connect.

Verizon reports that they are seeing an 20 billion unwanted wireless calls. That’s an absurd amount.

In addition to the increased cell phone calling, the data also shows that people are spending more time on their phone calls. AT&T has reported that wireless voice minutes on Monday were up 39% from what they see on an average Monday. Wi-Fi calling minutes are also up, at a whopping 78% higher usage than normal.

With no definitive end to this pandemic in sight, now is the perfect time to reconnect with loved ones and friends.

Texts are great for short, cold, and quick answers. Right now, though, without being able to physically connect, emotional connection is what we need.
