Password protections for Android and iOS featured in Chrome update

The release of Chrome 86 for Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS features some impressive upgrades.

First and foremost are the password security upgrades for Android and iOS, where you’ll now be notified if passwords that you’ve asked Chrome to remember have been compromised.

If your password happens to be compromised, Chrome will direct you to change your password.

Google has also announced that they’ll be bringing Safety Check to mobile.

Safety Check not only handles compromised passwords for you, but also flags whether Goggle’s Safe Browsing service is turned off and makes sure that your Chrome version is up-to-date.

If you’re using Chrome 86 for iOS, you can now make Chrome your default browser.

You’ll also have more sharing, opening and additional feature options.

Google has also promised that the next Chrome for iOS release will have more password features, including biometric authentication.

A number of crucial security updates were also included, so if you’re a Chrome user, you should upgrade to Chrome 86 as soon as possible.
